What I'm Wearing - Vintage Blazer, Zara Jeans (sold out - similar), ASOS Pink Boots (sold out), The Whitepepper Bag, Topshop Top (sold out), Sunglasses, Primark Necklace and Rings.

Sometimes it is good to try something new fashion wise. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. On this occasion it didn't work - but lesson learned. Black clothes aren't for me.

On Sunday we welcomed the first day of Spring and my first venture into black jeans. I know it sounds crazy, but I can't remember ever owning black jeans before. I picked up these Zara jeans in the new year for £9.99 and this was me just getting round to wearing them. This jean style is everywhere this year - cropped cut flare. It is a style I kinda love and kinda hate at the same time. Your jeans really need to be styled properly or it can just look like your jeans are too short for you. Personally I think they look best with a heeled boot or shoes, but I will of course try some out with my faithful trainers.

I teamed up my jeans with a basic black top from Topshop and to add a pop of colour these amazing pink boots Jimmy got me from ASOS last year (my first time wearing them, I really need to start wearing my stuff). I picked up this amazing wool vintage blazer on Ebay for £10. But hello the best part of the outfit.......how cute is my bag? This was another Jimmy gift - he is good isn't he?! This little guy never fails to make me smile. I really want the pink version too. He certainly added a little bit of fun to this outfit.

So my verdict on the black jeans..... they aren't for me. They just made me feel ......black. And hello fluff overload! Everything shows up on them! They have quickly made their way into my boring work wardrobe. Time to invest in some new blue jeans :)

I hope everyone has a lovely week and has a fantastic Easter. I am off down South for a few days' holiday. Follow me on Snapchat (Glasgowfashion) if you want to keep updated on my time away.

I will be back next week with, fingers crossed, another outfit post.

Lots of love

Six Great Things About February

1. Leo won his first Oscar
I won't lie - I shed a little tear when it was announced that Leo had won his first Oscar for best Actor in The Revenant. Why the tears you ask?? Leo has been my favourite actor for as long as I can remember and has starred in many of my favourite movies.
He has deserved an Oscar many times over and to see his constantly being ignored by the Oscar board broke my heart. Yes, he had been nominated before, but he just couldn't seem to win.

The Revenant, in my opinion, is not the best film he has ever starred in, but I knew this was his year. And rejoice I was right. To see him accept his award was amazing and the speech he gave was just perfect! Ahhh Leo! Here is to many more Oscars.

2. I started my fitness journey
Well technically my fitness journey started at the end of January. I started attended classes run by Debbie Boyle - who is an amazing teacher and personal trainer. I promised myself that I would do the classes for at least 4 weeks before I decided to quit if I didn't like it.

During this time, I also decided to join my work friends on a hill walk. We walked up Conic Hill. This isn't a particularly large hill, but to me it felt like Mount Everest. I really struggled at some parts, thinking I couldn't go on much further, but pushed myself and made it to the top. I am super proud of myself for not giving up like I probably would have done before.

So I surprised myself and probably a lot of people around me by sticking to my 4 weeks of exercise and I probably surprised everyone even more by saying I am continuing on this journey. I am actually enjoying it (a little haha!). It is hard and I am still really unfit but I just keep reminding myself Rome wasn't built in a day. Now my next goal is the get my diet in order.... now this will be the difficult part.

3. I went to my first Club Noir
There was one club experience I have wanted to visit forever and I have no idea why I had never been to Club Noir before now. Their nights are a mixture of music, cabaret shows and dressing up - anything goes!

The theme was 1920's Some Like It Hot for their Valentine's Ball. I went for a Valentine's theme along with my friend Ruth.

The DJ played 1920's music and modern music with a 20's theme which was amazing. Who doesn't love dancing pretending they are one of Gatsby's parties. Everyone had made such an effort with their costumes and the atmosphere was great. I will definitely be back for the summer event - Elvis in Vegas.

4. Getting to hang out with my favourite people I met through blogging
I got to spend a day with Naomi and Lyn at the lovely The Butterfly and The Pig where we indulged in afternoon tea. We talk almost every day in our WhatsApp chat but it is so good to catch up in person. I am so lucky to be able to call these ladies my friends.

I also got to nip through to Edinburgh for a few hours to hang out with Ema. This is the first proper time we have got to hang out together and I loved it! I can't wait to do it for longer next time.

5. Beyonce dropping Formation and announcing her World Tour.
Beyonce surprised us all by dropping her new single Formation. Like that wasn't enough she then announced her world tour a few days later and 2 days before the tickets went on sale. Now if you follow me you will know I have been funding Blue Ivy's future college fund for the past few years by buying concert tickets and this concert was no exception. See you in July Queen B!

6. Surprise Holidays
On Valentine's Day Jimmy facetimed me and asked me to pick between 3 sheets of paper labelled A, B and C. Unknown to me what was in the paper I selected C. Jimmy then asked me about 5 times if I was sure I wanted C - so of course I said no and then selected B! Thank goodness I changed my mind. Inside C were the words 'F**k All' and inside B was a holiday to Rome. So not only do we have our holiday to Copenhagen to look forward to in June but now we have a trip to Rome in August.

I know nothing about the Rome trip except when we go - Jimmy has planned everything himself. I am truly lucky to have such an amazing boyfriend who spoils me so much.

We are looking for recommendations for both Copenhagen and Rome so please let me know your must have places to visit.

Apologies for the bad picture quality. Most of these photographs were taken on my phone. I hope you enjoyed this post. I really enjoyed looking back at the past month and the things I loved about it. Would you like me to continue with these posts? Please let me know.

Lots of love
