You Can Never Have Enough Coats and Jackets

Glasgowfashiongirl - Pink Fur

Oh hello autumn/winter! I wasn't expecting to see you so quickly, but here we are! It is almost the end of October, how did that happen? October to December are my favourite months of the year. October brings us the cold, dark nights followed by Halloween. November brings my birthday and December, of course, brings Santa. Sorry folks, you cannot moan about the C word anymore - it is almost here!

October to December are also my favourite times of the year for shopping. Well, let's be honest, I shop all year round - but I live for winter clothes. I struggle with how to dress in summer (my least favourite season) and would much rather be wrapped up than showing skin. Autumn/winter is when I get to invest in my favourite items of clothing - coats and jackets. Who cares if your wardrobe is already collapsing under the weight of the ones you own! Who cares if you own so many you have had to store some in two other cupboards - you can never have enough.

UPDATE: In the process of writing this my coat/jacket section of my wardrobe did in fact collapse and break! Spooky!!!

As soon as I spotted this little Barbie pink fur coat on ASOS she had to be mine. Unfortunately my bank balanced disagreed and she sat in my wish list for a few weeks, going in and out of stock in my size. Never far from my thoughts, but alas, never in stock. Then, like fate, one suddenly appeared in stock and just like that she was mine. Don't you just love a happy ending!

What I'm Wearing - ASOS Pink Fur Coat // Monki Top // Topshop Mom Jean // Converse

Jimmy and I took a drive up to Loch Lomond and of course I wanted to wear my new coat. Typical, even though the forecast said sun, it rained! And even more typical, when we started to drive home the sun came out! Welcome to Scotland eh? Fur coats and rain are not the best combination, but the colour looked amazing against the dreich weather. Don't you agree? And luckily I didn't get too wet.

I would love to know what you have invested in for the autumn/winter season?

Until next time
Jennifer xoxo

  1. It's so true that in Scotland you can never have too many jackets and coats. It's just a shame that they are so expensive. I really need to invest in a really good quality waterproof, active wear style jacket but it's a big investment.

This pink coat looks great on you, especially with your hair colour. Great photographs too!

  2. That pink coat is AMAZING! I've invested in a champagne coloured faux fur coat for the winter this year... looking forward to wearing it! <3
